Blinds inside glass are supplied as a complete replacement sealed unit. The blind is built between two panes of glass at manufacture, then the finished unit is installed into a suitable existing frame.
That is why this system is different from fitting a normal blind to a window reveal. The blind does not hang in the room, and the slats or fabric are protected from room dust, grease and daily handling.
The strongest use cases are bi-fold doors, sliding doors, French doors, patio doors, kitchen windows, bathrooms, garden rooms and glazed partitions where external blinds are awkward, messy or easily damaged.
They are also useful when you want a cleaner look but do not want to replace the whole window or door. During survey we check the existing frame and sealed unit so the correct replacement glass can be specified.
Start with the room problem: privacy, glare, heat, blackout, hygiene or child safety. Then choose the blind type and control system that suits the opening and how often you will use it.
